Does My Luteal Phase Stay The Same Even If I ovulated Really Early This Cycle?

My Last normal AF was 6/4/08 but then had some spotting 7/24-7/28... very light bleeding hardly enough for a panytliner... assuming that was my AF.

Then on 7/31 I started having very storng Ovulation pains that started 7/30 till 8/1 and only noticed EWCM on thursday which was the day of very stong Ovulation Pain.

1. No since my AF is all out of sorts how can I time when my next AF would be?

If I would have had Ovulation on CD7, 8, or 9.... would it be an average of 10-14days of my luteal phase.. making my cycle this month about 23days at the most?

2. So how many DPO can I take a HPT? and,

3. Three days after s*x and ovulation pains I started feeling some cramping, not as strong as when on AF but noticeable and not in the same place as ovary site where I had the ovulation pain...is it normal to have cramping (it only started after 3 days)?

  1. Okay usually your LP stays the same every month. Thats from ovulation till you get AF or BFP.  That usually stays the same because no matter when you ovulate the fertilized egg (saying conception did happen) would need the same time to travel to your uterus and begin implanting and releasing HCG so you don't begin AF. Ovualtion is the most helpful piece of info to know every month. Due to the fact that LP should always stay the same, so you just calculate from O. Thats why if your LP doesn't stay the same or its too short you prolly wont get pregnant and women get put on meds to make that longer.

I would need more info about your cycle to know anything about like if you usually spot etc. But Spotting and or full periods can* happen in pregnancy. I had my period for two months, bright red, heavy/med, and RIGHT on time for two months and I was deff. pregnant. And yes the cramps most women describe as "different" are normal in early pregnancy. So maybe the spotting was implantation thew first time and the last time was just a little bleeding. **A very good rule is to begin testing 14 days past ovulation/unprotected s*x.**

Good luck and just remember every women is different and anything is possible!!
