Does My Older sis Cat Have Alztimers?

he seems like he wanders in a daze 24/7 , meows irregular 24/7 , drinks and goes to the bathroom okay but is skinny as heck almost as if all the food he eats is consumed once in the belly -.- hes 18 years old and doesnt go outside im not sure what my sisters cat has.

  1. It's hard to tell if cats can really get alzheimers, because you never know what they are truly thinking!

    It sounds like the cat is just going through normal phases of old age. Cats are just like people; they get frail and weak as they reach the end of their lives. What you are describing is natural, but if you notice the cat start to have diarrhea or any other irregular symptom, you should go the vet. An old cat can be prone to kidney failure and it is a very painful (and fatal) thing.
