Iam religious and would never betray my God for NASCAR, but say if I was not aloud to quilify on Saturday (Sabbath), would they let the driver quilify the next day before the race? Or just orther things like driver introductions and so on..

  1. Well, the "Sabbath" has been mistaken for Sunday, and most modern Christians go to church on Sunday mornings, and there's usually nothing happening racing-wise on a Sunday morning. If the Sabbath was never mistaken for Sunday, then yes I would expect them to make sure nothing interferes.

  2. MRO (Motor Racing Outreach) provides church services for Nascar officials, drivers, media, and the families before every Sunday race.  They also provide seperate services for the children.

  3. If they did, we wouldn't be racing on Sundays.

  4. Oh I see.  No I don't know.  Cup drivers generally qualify on Fridays for Sunday's race.  Never heard them qualifying on a Saturday.  They race on Sundays.   many people do the job that God provides for them whether it fell on a Sunday or not.

FROM THE OTHER QUESTION SINCE YOU ASKED THIS THREE TIMES>  LOL

What exceptions are you talking about? Does anyone else not "get" this question???

Morgan Shepard races. He has no big sponsor except "Racing with Jesus" on his hood. Of course he also doesn't have much $$$ for the best cars so he usually doesn't get to finish a race or he is many laps down.

Joe Gibbs is a religious man and he wouldn't take in Jr. if Budweiser came with him. Junior went with hendricks and Bud didn't go with him anyway.

Let's see...oh then there is the Innvocation before each race. AND there are drivers and crew who bow their head in prayer before the race.

Dale Sr. had little bits of Scripture taped to his dash. As do kyle Petty and a few others.

Um...well thats it I guess. Still don't understand the question but this is about all I know about religion in NASCAR.

  5. Is it you or does your computer stutter?  Repeating questions costs you points!

I would think if your religious convictions conflicted with NASCAR, it would depend on your level of devotion, and where your passion lies. NASCAR doesn't make exception.

    Go Jr.>>>>

  6. No, no exceptions. It is up to Nascar participants to decide whether they want to race when Nascar races or not.

Fortunately the government does not run Nascar.
