He hasn't been playing and the Dodgers have been on a winning streak.

  1. Two words, MANNY RAMIREZ. That's the main reason they're winning. With, or without Kent, if Manny is there, you'll have no worries :)

  2. 5 in a row. If they sweep Arizona I'd say YES. When and if he returns he will only pinch hit. Nomar and Kent should have a seat on the bench. As long as the pitching stands up the Dodgers will be fine.

  3. I don't know about better but it makes one less a**hole on the team

  4. I saw some interviews from the Dodgers' players and a lot of them were saying while they respected Jeff Kent, the club house actually became looser, more relaxed. A lot of the guys in that team are young while Jeff is more of a serious veteran type player, so his absence may have somehow loosen the team up a little. And a lot of the players are also getting along with Manny Ramirez more than they would with Kent. The reason I believe this is after what I read about Jeff Kent ripping on Vin Scully, which was probably the biggest mistake he had ever made and it put a bruise on his image.

So, the Dodgers ARE somehow a better team without Jeff Kent.

  5. I would have to say yes. His defense and many times his offense are liabilities. You never know which Kent will be playing that night. He seemed to make everyone uncomfortable in the clubhouse, especially for that incredibly stupid jab at Vin Scully. I mean come on man, Vin Scully?! There isn't another player out there that wouldn't defend him. I hope his career's done, we could let Dewitt stay at second and free up a few million bucks to go toward Manny and Sabathia in the off-season (wishful thinking).
