Does New York University have a good reputation of giving a lot of Financial Aid?

I am going to apply to New York University for the 2009 fall semester.

I was wondering whether it has a good reputation of giving enough Financial Aid for the average middle class person.

it has a terrible record.... it gives only 75% of your financial need. which means that if you need 100, it will only give you 75...  you should start applying to hundreds of scholarships if you plan on going to nyu..... another tip is to wait until after may 1st and then call the financial aid offfice and appeal for more scholarships... thats because the number of colleges people apply to has increased so when they send in their letters of rejection to colleges the money that was supposed to be used on that student is now available....  otherwise plan on taking out a lot of debt or apply to hundreds of scholarships... good luck
