  1. yes...Nick does have type 1 diabetes...he announced it in november 2005 at the carnival for a cure...he wear an omnipod which is a tube-less inulin pump...he also did a jonas brothers living the dream episode about it...he does a lot of stuff to help little kids with diabetes and he is a big inspiration...he doesnt let it slow him down...i think that its prety kool that he doesnt let it bother him...i mean it must be pretty tough being on tour and doing all kinds or crazy stuff and having to worry about counting carbs and taking the right amount of insulin....did you know that elliot yamin has type 1 diabetes too?

  6. I honestly can't believe you are asking this question.  This gets posted on here about 3 dozen times a day.  Yes, he has Type 1 diabetes.  Now will all of you please stop?

  7. Yes, he really does have diabetes. He was the featured celebrity in a recent diabetic magazine.

  8. yes he has type 1 and has an insulin pump for his meds. the brothers recently did an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine in which he discussed it as well as he was on the Diabetes magazine. He manages his diabetes very well with the help of his brothers and the rest of his family! He is a role model to all diabetics!

  9. Yes.  He has juvenile diabetes.

  10. I think he just want to take those shots 4 or 5 times day.

    What do YOU think??

What a silly question . . . of course he does.  Diabetes is not a disease that you "kid" about.  You don't pretend to have it because it's 'cool' or fun.

Nick has to really watch his diet -- no cakes and cookies and ice cream.  No candies or colas or sports drinks.  He even has to be careful eating spaghetti or french fries.  Stay away from McDonalds . . .!

And he has to take insulin shots -- Lots of shot, probably 4-5 a day.

That's not funny!  It's very serious.  DEAD serious, as a matter of fact.  It's very good that his doctors found out NOW.  If he had waited longer he could have died.

But since he found out he can be treated.  If he watches his diet and takes his shots, he should live just like a "normal" person.

  11. It's called Diabeetus, and yes.
