Currently I'm working in Indiana as a Phlebotomist which does not require a license. However, I'm moving to North Carolina and I want to know if I need to be certified to work as a Phlebotomist. If so, I'm certified by the state of California will it be suitable to work in North Carolina?????

  1. Why ask Yahoo? Why not ask the NC Medical Board?

  2. North Carolina does not require phlebotomist to become license, the only two states that require phlebotomists to be license to my knowledge are California and Louisiana.  Even if NC does decided to license phlebotomists down the line, most state license give reciprocity for another state license as stringent or more stringent than that state.  Likely California license would likely be the most stringent of any states.

  3. Yes, NC sure does.
