  1. Kim Jong Ill,

He is the Chairman of the National Defense Commission, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, and General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

    He is a fascist dictator.

  2. North Korea is a communist country--or a dictatorship if you like.

After WWII Korea was split up into two different areas--the north--above the 38th parallel and the South below it.

This was agreed to by the Allies in WWII.  The Soviet Union controlled the North and the Americans controlled the South--until elections could be held.  They could never agree on the process to hold fair elections.

In 1950 the North decided to just take the south by force which resulted in the Korean War.--A brutal war that lasted three years and resulted in the current situation.

Kim Ills father died about 12 years ago and he became the "PRESIDENT"

So they don't have a King--and never did.

  3. Did they ever have a "king"?? Kim Jong Ill is their leader.. All I know is that they call him the "leader".. Like that Simpsons episode.. Brainwashed...

  4. Yes, technically, but its really not important, because North Korea runs on dictatorship, Kim Jong-IL runs the government and armed forces, so what does any other position control that is more important than that?

  5. Kim Ill Song, the deceased father of Kim Jong Ill, is the head of state.  Kim Jong Ill is the head of the North Korean Communist Party and the Armed Forces of North Korea.

  6. no, their leader is Kim Jung-Il, the son of Kim Il-Song. He's a dictator, not a king.
