  1. NCL does have internet service on its ships and wireless internet service hot spots.  That mean you have to go to certain locations on ship to log on your your laptop.  The internet service is very very expensive, usually about $1.00 per minute.  But you can buy packages that are somewhat cheaper, like maybe $.50 per minute.  The bottom line is its there but very expensive if you plan to spend a bunch of time on line.  In addition, the internet service is not very fast, especially when the ship is moving, pages load really slow.

The best option is to leave you laptop at home and wait until you get to a cruise port to find an internet cafe.  I have found internet cafes all over in just about every cruise port.  Some ports they will have the cafe right in the cruise terminal.  Others it may be in town.  And the land based internet service is generally in the range of $5 to $7.00 an hour and its fast service too.  You can usually find the internet cafe sign in or near the port or just ask one of the ship's service personnel, like your cabin steward or waiter.  They know because they use it when they have free time in ports.

  2. YES! they do but if you don't have a lab top they have computers but they charge you a lot!

  3. Cruise line have wireless internet, but it is not free.  You have to buy minutes (usually a package of minutes).  Some boats even have a computer center so that you don't need to carry your laptop on your trip if you don't want to.  The prices are not cheap for internet minutes (nearly a dollar a minute), so prepare to pay if you use it.

  4. Free internet?  No way - that's one way the cruiseline makes lots of extra money.  They will have internet service, it will be expensive and it will probably be slow.  If you MUST have internet access, there are internet cafes near the pier at all of the cruise ports.

But why do you want to be on the internet when you could be enjoying yourself by taking advantage of all the great things to do on board or in port, or just relaxing?

  5. internet access on a cruise is very expensive.  My advice is to wait till you get to a port then go to an internet cafe,  they have them at pretty much all ports.  The rates in ports are much lower.
