Question:

Does Obama's 'My brothers keeper' translate into 'Who's your daddy?'?

Several times last night, Obama very pointed said, emphasising the point, "I AM my brother's keeper." How can this be interpreted in any other way than, "The government is the parent of the people." or "The President is father to a million little dependents." and where is this role of government in the Constitution?

"I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents...." --James Madison

For decades the government has increasingly mandated charity from the people. In fact, democrats have said that if they didn't mandate charity, people are too selfish and would not give. (Chris Redfern, the Democratic Party Chairman of Ohio)

It used to be that communities and private citizens supported what are today social programs. If Obama wants to be America's daddy, why doesn't he use his own money and time? What right does he have to finance his parenthood with OUR money?

  1. Pretty much.  Yes we are our brother's keeper but the Federal government is not..

  2. if he is his brothers keeper, why does he not help the poor guy???

  3. lmao.  I like your analogy!  = )

  4. I don't think Cain was thinking politics when he said this.

You right-wingers really ought to learn your Bible if you want to throw it around as a shield during the elections.

EDIT:  That's CAIN, not McCain - as in, killed his brother, as in God said, "Thy brother's blood cryest out to me from the ground..."

  5. This is obviously a lie since one of his brothers lives in poverty on $12 a year in Africa. If that is an example of what kind of job he would do I want no part of it.
