He wants to be a tool of the multi-national corporations, because it will get him huge offshore bank accounts. It's his only real chance to get filthy rich.

Maybe, but it's always been Obama's dream to be president.  Back in Indonesia, he told a teacher that he wanted to become president some day...but failed to say of which country.  Guess any one would do, since he has no loyalty to anything other than himself.  I also guess you're right about the media attention.  Quite the egomaniac, he is.
