Does Olive Garden share tips?

Looking into getting a job at Olive Garden. Wondering if the waiters/waitress have to share all tips or if you get what you earn?

I'm talking to my friend who works there right now.  She gets to keep the tips she makes, but it's suggested to give 5% to the bartender and 10% to the busser.  It's not required, but, as she said, "you take care of the people who take care of you."

Well they've never shared any tips with me.   I eat there all the time and this is the first time I've heard they were supposed to give me a bit of the action.   Huh,  see if I ever eat there again...

You need to ask or call them to ask your question.That is why alot of times I don't feel the need to tip. I have asked a number of different time, before tiping how things are done.When you have an outstanding waiter/waitress, a person wants to show that with a good tip, not expecting that it has to be shared with the others that aren't doing their jobs that well. I have found to say thank you for the outstanding service gives me that satisfaction, also that the person isn't go to have problems because of the tip if they have to share. How many times have you gone out and had to ask for more water, coffee,another napkin, having to wait until the waiter/waitress comes back into the area, it's understandable if they are busy, but do you feel you need to tip for bad service. The service given and the matter you are served is what warrents a tip with me and I want that person to get it not everyone that weren't involved with my meal.

Ask the manager, or email on their website? They also have a tuition assistance program for employees who are students possibly?

The right way is to split the tip jar.  There are tables more popular than others.  Like the ones next to the restrooms.
