  1. No!  Plus, the salaries do not match the cost of living.

  3. A million people live in the Orlando area. It's far from the cheapest. Home prices are still too high, property insurance and property taxes are WAY too high. Rent prices are higher than average. The only saving grace about Orlando is that the winters are quite mild, and you won't spend $400 a month in heating costs like you would in the colder parts of the country.  

  4. No.  Orlando is quite expensive and the housing market is at a stalemate.

  5. Absolutely not.  You want a cheap beautiful city area, try Raleigh.  I think Jacksonville is less expensive, too,  and believe it or not, Jax has a lower violent crime rate than Orlando now.  Orlando is #11 in the US.
