It takes a couple of weeks till you start to see results and as long as you use it, it does work, but my face seems to have more difficult breakouts now if I stop using it than before I ever used it.

yeah but it thins out your skin sot hat the acnee gets cured and so if your going to get your face waxed then dont use it that week because the wax may peel off your skin if it's too thin it happenned to me sister

Of the people I know who used it, said it didn't work at all. But I think it's one of those things that works for some people, not everyone.

I thought about trying ProActiv, but I found several websites saying it was overpriced and didn't work any better than assembling the same ingredients for yourself at drugstore prices. This is what I use, and it works as long as I use it every day: 1) mild cleanser, like Noxzema, that's just a cleanser, non-medicated (this gets the oil and dirt off your face), 2) a benzoyl peroxide cleanser (at least 10% benzoyl peroxide, and put lots of it on), 3) moisturizer w/sunscreen to put on after you rinse off the peroxide (important since b.p. makes your skin sensitive to sun).

Note that I'm saying benzoyl peroxide, NOT salicylic acide. Salicylic acid does NOTHING for me. The b.p. might make your skin red and dry at first, but keep moisturizing it and that effect will go away in just a few days. Oh, and b.p. will bleach your clothes so be careful of that.

Please, try this first before dropping a lot of money on ProActiv! Good luck!

no it dries your face out.get this really cheap stuff that cleans your face/it's like in a bottle and it's basically soap.but it's called daily face wash.and it really really works better then pro-active.trust me i'm a 15 year old dude..i know whats up haha

Pro Active works because of the Benzoyl Peroxide in it, which is the active ingredient in ALL acne treatment creams.

It only makes your skin dry if the percentage of peroxide in it is too high for your skin, a lower percentage would work better.
