ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemns the United States forces’ attack on Zulahi village near Angoor Adda on the border with Afghanistan, Information and Broadcasting Minister Sherry Rehman said on Thursday.

Sherry said that the United States ambassador was summoned to the Foreign Office and given a strongly worded demarche.

The Pakistani ambassador in Washington had also lodged a protest with the State Department.

Violation: Referring to a policy statement by the foreign minister in the National Assembly and the Senate over the attack, she said Pakistan would not allow anyone to violate its territorial sovereignty. Wednesday's attack met with outrage in Pakistan. There were calls in parliament to retaliate in cases of incursions into Pakistani territory by foreign troops.
