She's more interested in her own political gains than she is in her own Downs kid. Not much of a mother if you ask me. She is a FINE example of republican family values though! She'll let a nanny or a nurse raise her kids.

Lets' be real -- children need their mothers.  And the presidency requires 24/7 attention.  It is quite selflish of her to seek the highest Office in the land with young children, especially with a special needs infant.  Who does she thinks she's kidding. Women have already started to learn we can't do it all.  And you can certainly not run the country as president and be the best mother you can be simultaneously.  This office requires her undivided attention. Balancing work and family is difficult for the typical 9 to 5 career woman.  It is not even possible as Vice President.  She's not running for First Lady, but second in Command.  She should remain in the office as Governor in the former territory (just became state) of Alaska, where she can be more effective in balancing work and family.  When her baby and young daughter are older she would be more suited to run for president.     That's not backwards, that's just honest.

Females in the work place and we live in aa society that demands two taxable incomes from every house hold , she is not going to bunk her belief system because someone decided it is not theirs and it is wrong , A great deal of women go to work shortly after giving birth , It goes on everyday . Holds a whole lot better than having an elitist wife claim she buys her shirts at Target so she can relate to the middle class masses.
