I dunno, I just couldn't have imagined Chelsea Clinton, knocked up in the White House at 17..It is so trailer trash..... There is definitely a moral standard for the President and Vice President and their families, or at least their should be/--I would never vote for McCain/Palin.

  1. I think the standard should include more about honesty than s*x.

Too many people think that only s*x is included when it comes to morality, but it encompasses more than just did she or didn't she. Or he.

Lying about people for personal gain or political gain, pretending not to see whats in front of your face, purposely ignoring the facts so you can get them to support what your want to do.  Cherry-picking facts and slanting them.  All are immoral in the larger sense.

When I watched the family last night I noticed that the boyfriend didn't touch Bristols arm the way she touched his, that the other daughter, Willow, looked angry or unhappy.  Maybe resentful?

Palins is a strange sort of woman, she wants to limit my reproductive rights, and that of my children and grandchildren, but she doesn't seem to care much that she opened Bristol to criticism of the worst sort, or endangered her sons life by traveling ten and half hours after her water broke. Which increases the danger of infection.

In fact, since an over forty pregnancy is considered high risk anyway, what was she doing traveling at that stage of her preganancy at all?

Are her family values not so valuable to her?

Are the kids just good looking props for photo ops?

I wouldn't vote for McCain/Palin either, something just doesn't ring true.

And moral issues would have precluded Giuliani from ever getting up on the podium.  So the whole Republican party looks like it needs a shower this morning.

There are most certainly not millions of pregnant teens.

I've seen that lie before used as an excuse for Bristols pregnancy.  Its an out and out lie meant to excuse her behavior.

  2. Palin's family is just like millions of other families in this country.  First people complain that Republicans are just rich white people who can't relate to the average American, then when a candidate arises who CAN relate to the average American family they call them trailer trash!  Exactly what is it going to take to make you guys happy?

If you are all about moral standards for candidates I take it you won't be voting for Obama since he supported a racist church for 20 years and has ties to Tony Rezco.

  3. It totally turns me off.  Bush has really torn this country down.  Not only do the rest of world look down on us, we're lowering our own standards by having this particular family in the spotlight and possibly becoming the second family of the nation.  We should strive to have the best, the brightest and the "cleanest" citizens we can get to run our country.  I know, most politicians are liars and corrupt, etc., but we shouldn't pull someone from a podunk town to possibly run this country.  This lady has too many irons in the fire to concentrate on the nation's business.

  4. Well, I'm sure if the truth be told, all families associated with the Presidency/Vice Presidency have had their share of "skeletons" in the closet but just have never been "outed." One thing we will never have is someone who is "wholely" perfect in any position of power (Democrat or Republican). We are all human and make mistakes. Note: I do not condone teenage pregnancy, but how do you demoralize Palin's daughter and not say anything about Bill Clinton's indiscretions during his stay at the White House? We all make mistakes and the last I checked, Palin's daughter isn't on the ticket.

  5. Three part answer to that, both resulting in a "yes"

    1)  Inner city pregnant teens, well that is due to they are abusing welfare.  VP candidate pregnant teen, that is becaue they have great Christian morals.  Huh?

    2)  Feminism means a woman gets to choose, on many levels.  She gets to choose to have five children, I disapprove of Palin's choice to go for such a demanding job with all that bunch of kids however it is her choice - but I would not put myself (or my nation) in a position to have to put a conversation with Iran on hold because I had to run to the hospital with my little one; if she is so well qualified she will have another chance, when her children are a little older.

    3)  Pregnant teen daughter I think has to have the baby because she is a minor?  I believe abortion is not allowed without parental consent for a minor?  So why is Sarah so pround of her daughter"s "choice", it sounds like mommy's choice.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

  6. You are being sexist AND racist (trailer trash?).

If she was black, a man and a socialist, you would be all warm and fuzzy about her/him and nothing else would matter.

  7. It is just like millions of other families.  Trailer trash, where do you come up with this S**t?  Moral standard for the President and Vice President and their families, make me laugh

  8. Only the Republicans could turn a pregnant teen into the second Virgin Mary and glorify it.

The whole Eskimo Barbie thing turns me off.   I feel sorry for her child with her privacy being exploited for her mom's political agenda.   I definately do not think that she could run this nation if McCain dies in office.    Even moreso,  Palin's lies during her speech were a huge turn off and just another reminder that she is a Bush supporter.

I hope America will have the good sense to not put these two into office.

  9. You see Ghetto, we see someone who truly lives by a set of morals, not just giving lip service to them when people are looking and ignoring them when they aren't.

    Forgiveness/Mercy is greater than Judgment/Condemnation.

  10. yea, i agree. seems a bit strange considering their conservative plolicies and what not. It just doesn't sit well.

  11. nope. her family is real.

  12. I personal thing she has to much on her plate to be VP.  Think about it.  How many kids does she have?  One that is PG and they are both vary young.  (I am talking about the daughter and her boyfriend)  One going off to war.  One with Special Needs, and then just the raising of the rest of her kids.  There is just no way she will be able to dedicate the time needed to be VP.  Her mind will be part on our Country and about 90% on her family issues.    Why do I say 90% on family issues.  Well lets see.

    1. A daughter that is PG will more then likely be having s*x again.  That wont stop, and with her gone with the responsibilities of this Nation that will only give her daughter more time to be alone.

    2. A special needs child.  I have a special needs child and I know what it takes to raise my child.  A LOT OF TIME.  Dr. appointments, giving meds at a certain time.  The list goes on and on.  It's never ending.

    3. One going off to War.  Well that one may not be so bad.  He will get special assignment.  He will not see anything you or my kids may see if they were shipped off to war.  But, I'm sure that will still weigh heavy on her mind.  It just might even throw off her judgment on what to do.

    4.  The raising of her other kids.  That in itself is hard enough.

As for her speech she gave last night at the Democratic Convention.  It sounded like President Bush was speaking.  Same old c**p, different voice.  She did not impress me.  I think the Democrats made a wrong decision.  I guess we will see here in a few months.

  13. while teen pregnancy is all too common it is not average.  i can respect this family's choices in the matter, but it sets up a model for the american family that we want to avoid not promote.

more so, my concern is palini's religious politic.  teaching creationism in public school, anti-choice, 'abstinence only' birth control.  de-funding libraries and/or condemning books is not my idea of progress..

Bill Clinton was already in the whitehouse and an adult when he screwed around on his wife.  and he was publicly 'punished' for his personal business.
