  1. it's honestly the only way we can really explain all our findings over the last century or so as science has advanced so much....

if you look at individual anamolies, there are of course other explainations... like the information paradox... one group says it's impossible that a black hole could destroy matter or energy, but others say it can... with multiple universes both can be right, because in another universe that black hole doesn't exist, so that matter/energy that's part of the universe that cannot be created or destroyed, isn't completely wiped out, only in that universe it is, it still exists somewhere else..... so the basic law of physics (matter cannot be created or destroyed) isn't violated, and yet, our scientific findings that prove the energy/matter is indeed destroyed in our universe aren't violated either.

the other possibilty here, is that we're just wrong...

but if look at more and more of these strange anamolies we've discovered over the years, you'll find again and again, a multi-verse is the best way to explain any part or all of it....

without this theory we just have a bunch of diffrent AND CONFLICTING theories..... like take string theory away (which supports a multi-verse) and quantam physics and general relativity apparently do not follow the same laws, even tho general relativity was the first step towards 'the theory or everything' as einstien believed there must be some underlying law that EVERYTHING follows..... (which is actually a pretty sound theory in and of itsself.... much more believeable then alternating laws of physics)

both are right, we can prove this, but without string theory, they are two diffrent theories, not one general law.

  2. There is no parallel universe or outside of the universe. there is nothing out there not even space time and matter.  Also there are no dimensions.  You can't say its infinitely black outside the universe or even the word of being nothingness should be existent.

Books on the subject can be found probably in the local library.

  3. The best book I have read is Warped Passages by Dr. Lisa Randall.  You can get one on Amazon.com.

  4. yup, and not just one.

start with michio kaku's book, 'parallel worlds' i think it's called.

  5. how can you ask this question and expect a (YES or NO) answer, you can only get peoples view of the question based on their beliefs.  Now if anyone here has been to a parallel Universe then we can answer the question. Unfortuantly the closest to ANY universe we have ever gotten was by looking in a mirror.

  6. yes it does.

theres a college science book called 21st century astronomy.

pick it up and read it
