i guess he doesn't. he thinks he's the best even though he was the leader of a team that won 24 games? i don't think so. How can he be the best in the NBA, when he wasn't even the best on the team? KG is the best, he is the difference. The Finals MVP should have went to either Ray Allen or James Posey, that's right I said James Posey, people will understand when they see what the Hornets do and what the Celtics do not do. Ray Allen was very underrated on that team.

I think you forgot that Paul Pierce took his crappy team to the conference finals by himself. He didn't have KG or Ray Allen. Get your facts straight before you start insulting players who could care less about you. It's amazing what people will say with a trophy in their hands.

I'm guessing since he was conversing with the Spainish media it wouldn't turn out big news or anything in America. Maybe just trying to win over a few Spainish fans that don't know any better.

It was a stupid thing to say though. Pierce isn't even a top five player in the NBA. Maybe faking an injury in the finals gave him a confidence boost or something.

The ironic part is he played himself off as the humble superstar through the rest of the interview.

I'm sure Paul Pierce still knows and understand that Kobe is the best in the league right now.. But you know, you just won the championship and got Finals MVP, you have to be full of yourself. He has lots of confidence right now, but he can't be over confident or too cocky..
