I heard this from one of my teachers and wanted to know if it's true.

Well...Joe G.  I can't answer your other question again so I will do it here....it is called the Midrash.  The oral torah.  Also, the purpose for the delaying in writing is because the spoken words are lost in written translation.  Words decrease meaning from all things.  The purpose is to feel the energy of what is referred to as G-d not see written words.  It is still impossible to get the full meaning from the Midrash through words.  It is the feeling and response that is more powerful.  About why G-d didn't give it to us is very simple....G-d is not a physical being and can't give something.  Free will was the purpose for humans to figure it out on their own.  Knowledge is the introduction of free will.  All men have free will and that is the reason why we have an intellectual mind and the capacity to question things and discover things on our own.  Why would you want anything handed to you anyway.  It is more purposeful to realize things on your own and that my dear is why we took a while to write the Midrash rather than write it immediately.

  3. i looked online but i couldnt find anything to support my claim.  you can try looking yourself though.

    i think it used to, but they modified the ingredients a while back so now it doesnt anymore.
