  1. No. Neither the oxycodone not the acetaminophen affect clotting.

The med student needs to study more. -->

"Ibuprofen also causes a decrease in the formation of thromboxane A2 synthesis, by thromboxane synthase, thereby inhibiting platelet aggregation."

  2. Percocet will thin the blood like Ibuprofen, in that neither of them will. Ibuprofen is a reversible COX inhbitor. The Percocet contains Acetominophen which is a centrally acting COX III inhibitor and has no activity against COX I that produces thromboxanes.  Only the irreversible COX inhbitor Aspirin has any antithrombotic activity at normal doses.

Edit: to get that antithrombotic  effect with ibuprofen you would have to take a high enough dose  that would give you stomach ulcers long term, so it is not used for this purpose, and this doesn't really occur at OTC doses. Even when it does it is only a temporary, partial effect and those platelets will clot when the ibuprofen concentration drops again. So for all practical purposes, the answer is still no.

  3. NO.

Percocet has oxycodone and APAP (Tylenol)

Percodan has oxycodone and  ASA (aspirin)

  5. No, Percocet ( Percodan and Tylenol combined) should not affect blood clotting like Ibuprofen or Advil which are non-steroidal antiinflammatories known to cause bleeding.
