Does Planting tall shrubs along the outside of your house help improve Insulation?

It would cut down the effects of the wind, so I am sure it helps.

helps to keep the place cool

trees and bushes absorb heat in the day and release it at night

and wind passing through wet foliage cools the air down.

It will help with heating or cooling but I'm not sure if it is becuase of insulation.  It will help with cooling because it shades the house.  It will help with heating because it blocks wind.
