Question:

Does Playboy have a deal with Google and Yahoo to make some content not show up in results?

On looking at who the Playmate of 2008 might be, I noticed no results pull up even though Playboy's site left a clue and I figured it out easily. Does Playboy have an agreement with Google and Yahoo to make sure people cannot search for that? I looked at the girl's MySpace profile and conveniently enough there are no comment boxes for people to congratulate her.

If this question does not show up here, then I'll know the answer.

  1. If you have safe search turned on for Google or Yahoo, then that type of information may be excluded from the results.  Other than that, if it is on Playboy.com (or else where on the web for the matter), it will show up in some capacity on Google or Yahoo when you search for it.

  2. The Playmate of the Year for 2008 has not been released yet. I happen to know who it is though :) probably not who you think.

addition: the people that know (models and people involved) CANNOT tell, or post in a blog, or they will no longer be involved in Playboy. It's not beneficial to tell anyone, anyway. Playboy does not have any deal with google, but anything you have to pay for (like paysites) are not stored in google's cache. so discussions on places like Playboy.com will not show up, because you must pay to be a member.

  3. no i go to all the playmate lunches, hef does not care if people figure out becuase it will be in the news soon.

  4. I know for Google, it doesn't allow p**n sites to come up in searches. I'm not sure about the others.
