Does Prince Charles have political 'influence' internationally?

I did not say 'power' but influence? Is there a difference between the two? Tell me what you tink.

  1. The queen and her family cannot have any dealings with foreign governments without the permission of the British government.  Nor may they become involved in politics.  While the British government might use the queen and prince as good will ambassadors there influence is limited at best.

  3. Yes, I believe he does.  He is a lot smarter than he is given credit for.  He has been in training his whole life to be King and I am sure that he has been blessed with a wonderful teacher.  He is very influential and smart enough to not let you know it too!

  4. I don't think he has political influence because he really is not supposed to have any. In fact no one in the royal family has any, including the Queen.

  5. I would assume so. A lot of the diplomacy between the UK and the Middle Eastern monarchies is done by the Queen. They respect her as a royal person, far more than they do the prime ministers who are only around for a few years.

  6. Apparently he's on the phone to the prime minister and other ministers very often, with his crazy ideas. Not many ideas about fairness i bet.
