Does Proactiv Really Work???

I'm thinking about trying it to control my breakouts (i sweat alot playing sports and acne can be an issue). But I've heard good and bad things about Proactiv. I've heard that it causes you to breakout before it actually clears your skin. Is that true?

  1. no. it didn't work on me. try going to a dermatologist. they prescribed me special acne stuff that removed all my acne within about 5 days.

  2. It works when you are using it but when you stop using it or decide to try a different product the acne comes back even worse than it was when you started using the product.  Unfortunately your body begins to depend on it too much :(  I would see a dermatologist, there are many different options they can give you!

  3. YES EXTREMELY WELL! I swear get it you won't be disappointed. Also, make sure you use the repairing gel or whatever it's called. I'm just like you I play bball lax and soccer and I sweat a lot.

  4. It did not work very well for me. I work in a large food production plant where there is a lot of flour and oil generally in the air. So I tried proactiv and I was not too happy with it. I tried a bunch of OTC stuff too, but kept getting too dry and irritated. Then I found some stuff called "Clear" and it has worked for me better than anything else ever has. You can see more about it at www.newacnecures.com and they have a free trial so you can see if it works on your skin.

  5. yes it's a miracle worker

  6. yes but i had bad acne as a kid have it no more

  7. It works, but it will bleach your towels, and anything else it touches. Also, my friend used it and said that it took all of the stuff that would normailly come out in the zits and stored it under her skin, so she had lots of hard bumps under her skin.

  8. uhh... it's a SCAM.

    it does not work.

  9. yepprzz

  10. honestly it depends on your face because certain stuff life  aveno doesn't work on my face just try the sample one.

  11. Yes, it does work.

I don't think it caused me to break out before it cleared my skin.

Problem is, I used it for about a year and developed an allergy to it.

But yes, it does work for most.
