Does Queen Elizabeth II have a mobile phone?

And if so, does she text Charles, William and Harry?

Do you think she uses abbreviations? (I would like to think not, but I am not sure.)

I was thinking it would be nice for her if she had one, so she could keep in touch with her family in a spontaneous and personal way, but then I started thinking that maybe having a mobile phone would be a threat to her security.

I'm really interested to know if anyone has any thoughts, or even better, concrete facts.

I imagine she does have a cell phone, if she knows how to text is a different story. Perhaps she knows, since she reportedly uses email.

I'm sure her security people do.  She's too important to be bothered with carrying a cell phone around...she has people to take her calls and such and relay information.  I doubt she texts anyone.  She doesn't seem to be too hip to those newfangled things...I don't know her personally of course.  She could just be putting up a very official front.

Her son, Prince Andrew gave Her Majesty a blackberry and she is reported to love it.  Prince Phillip on the other hand, can't stand the thing.  I think it is amazing!  There are so many seniors that are embracing technology that they are actually better informed than people 30 years their junior :-)
