Yes, as the others have said it started this morning. Just to correct what someone says that it 'sometimes starts mid-September'. Last year it began closer to the middle of September, but it moves backwards about 11 or 12 days every year, as it follows the Islamic calendar which based on lunar months (usually exactly 4 weeks rsther than 30/31 days). So next year it will be around 20th August.
