Does Rhys the Redeemed Umbral Mantle= infinite cycle?

Question

i was just wondering If I have Rhys the Redeemed equiped with an Umbral Mantle Can I contionously tap and untap and tap to create as many elves as I wish?

effective yes, and a cheap combo but only if you have 6+ open mana. I perfer Doubling Season even tho its not standard legal. The best part is that doubling season effects Plainswalkers as well.

You can create multiple elves per turn... but it costs 6 mana to make an elf and then use mantle to untap him. It's really inefficient.
