Does Roger Federer gain any points for making the quarter finals at Olympics ?! ?

Well i heard players do gain points towards their rankings..... So anyone know the truth?

i'm not sure.  From my understanding they don't but in recent years they may have changed it.  james Blake is awesome though!

No, I don't believe he does get any points at all for even competing in the olympics. Sadly, even if Nadal wins the Olympics he still won't get any points but he does win a gold medal!

Silver Medal - 280

Bronze Medal - 205

Loser 3rd/4th - 155

Quarterfinals - 100

Round of 16 - 50

Round of 32 - 25

1st Round - 5

But not nearly as enough as the amount Nadal will be getting after he wins the gold!

Edit from TODAY: Blake had 3 match points and couldn't beat Gonzales. I thought he would make the final easily since he beated Roger. He lost 4-6 7-5 11-9. OMFG. Blake is so fake. Whoever loses from the Novak vs Nadal match will win the Bronze over Blake. I'm upset for my country.

Edit: What happened since I didn't see the match, they said that when Gonzales was serving down 5-6 in the last set, he was down 0-40. Blake sailed the 1st match point out with his forehand for going for broke. Then Gonzales saved the other match points with winners Then with 2 more winners, he won the game to all. And Blake almost at 10-9 serving Gonzo serving for the match, Blake almost broke back but in the 5th match point, Gonzo hit an ACE. OMFG. That means Gonzo is guaranteed a medal - Gold or Silver. He will get the Silver 100% sure now.

Federer just gets 100 points for losing in the quarterfinals. Will I ever get best answer from you? LOL hahaha. Probably not, but I can dream which doesn't cost anything.

Gold - Nadal

Blake - Silver

Bronze - Novak will beat Gonzales for the Bronze.

I am American, remember that, so it would be nice to see him get to the final and guaranteed a medal, but I am going for Nadal to beat Novak. I don't want to see Novak in the final. I will be so mad. I can assure you now that there won't be no more surprises.

Gold - Safina (she'll beat Jelena in the quarters)

Silver- Dementieva

Bronze - The chinese will win the Bronze over Vera Zvonareva

I know that even though the chinese won Venus, she'll never beat Safina in the semis. Safina is the hottest player and the best right now in the WTA. I am 100% SURE with my predictions. None of what I predicted from until they play tennis again will be wrong. Give me best answer that I know I am right. I doubt the bloody, smug face Novak beat Nadal. Yeah right over my dead body.
