It's actually Donald Ronald McDonald. His mother named him Donald Ronald in the hopes that he would some day be a doctor, so his initials would already be DR McDonald. Unfortunately for Mrs. McDonald, Donald was discovered by the fast food king himself, and he went with Ronald as his stage name. Of course she was devastated, but she's living high in Beverly Hills now and not complaining too loudly.
