  1. In no way have i ever seen someone loose muscle due to running. Running makes you very slender because it burns a lot of fat. I started running in 6th grade cross country and now i just finished my 7th track season and all i hear from my friends is how ripped i am.

  2. If you don't get enough nutrition, it could.

Running burns calories; specifically, any aerobic activity will burn away fat first, but then will burn away other things like muscle and protein.

Only lifting weights will make you a slower runner; only running may eventually diminish your muscle mass.  Eat carbs & proteins, hydrate properly and find a balance between weight-lifting and aerobic and you should be okay.

  3. NO WAY! running makes you stronger!!!! you don't burn off muscle, you burn off fat!

  4. the only way you will lose your muscle is if you completely stop working out, running wont make u lose muscle

  5. Running alot on a sufficient diet makes your muscles much tougher.

  6. No, no exercise will lose muscle.  Inactivity will make you soft.

  7. yea u burn off fat, but dont run like everyday because u wont gain any muscle from doing that.
