  1. depends where you're running to, lol. try cycling- less traumatic on the old bod.

  2. you cannot ask if running gets more enjoyable on the iternet.... running is only enjoyable if you make it enjoyable. i run every day because i enjoy it and i like the benefits from running. if u want it to be enjoyable, it will be.

  4. Only if you want to run.  If you don't, you will hate it more as time goes on.

    3. I run marathons over and over.

    5. I run with my fever.

  7. I am not going to lie, but running takes committment and hard work.  But as you get better, your runs do become enjoyable, (when your breathing gets  a little easier, less soreness, more motivated, etc).  Reach for a goal like sign up for a 5K or 10K run, once you've achieved that goal, have that medal put around your neck or that goodie bag, shirt that you earned, you'll see that its all worthwhile.  Join your local running club/sign up for a running clinic and you will meet lots of amazing people who shares that passion for running.  Its contagious.

I live for my running, its my private time (when I run alone) and my social time (when I run with my local running club)

Don't do too much too soon, take your time and be patient, you'll see the results soon, don't get discouraged.

    Good luck and keep running!

  8. I think a lot of it depends on your mentality.

Some people consider running as a chore or as punishment, in which case they will never enjoy it.  If you treat it as freedom, time to go do whatever you want while you exercise, maybe you can enjoy it more.

It is possible that you will never like running - some people do, some people don't.  But I would say give it a try, find a running buddy and you'll have a better time of it.

Personally I love running.  Most people think that runners are crazy, but we know the truth, we've just found a sport/lifestyle that transcends human understanding because it's so great :)

  9. Running, esp. long distance running, is enjoyable in a way which you've never experienced if you haven't been running before.

What I mean is that to go beyond the barrier of some 45-60mins on a road you need to get to a kind of 'trans', and once you do you can keep running on. This is often referred to as 'runners' high' and it is very 'enjoyable' indeed. It takes time to get there but it's by all means worth the effort.

So don't get discouraged, you'll have your fun.

  10. Yes running does get better (eventually you will become addicted to the endorphins) but sometimes you just have to help yourself have fun. Try the following:

1.) Get a buddy to run with

2.) Run at different times of the day

    3.) Take new run routes

4.) Try trail running, or running at the track for a change

5.) Change up your workouts, maybe do mid distance, or sprints every now and again

6.) Run to an ice cream stand as a treat

7.) Do some road races even if you aren't in great shape, you can run them to see were you are at in your training and they are just fun. (listening to other runners stories and what not)

8.)Watch some good running movies such as St. Ralph, 4 minutes, and Pre.

9.) Try cross training every now and again (biking, swimming, elliptical, or rowing)

I hope this list helps you enjoy running some more. have fun
