I live in Milwaukee so of course I hear about him everyday, but I dont see a lot about him nationally. The guy is a machine!! Not big, doesnt have a big swing, but a sweet swing and the ball go faaaaaaaar! He can get on base in many ways, few Ks, he can run and hes become a respectable fielder.

Do you think he gets the respect of a Ryan Howard, Albert Pujols or even Fukudome?

  1. It's because of who he plays for. I guarantee if he played for a team like New York or Boston he would be over talked about. The truth is people don't care about small market teams sad but thats the way it is.

  2. i think he does get respect actually :)

    good player ^^

and he is young dude.. i mean Pujols, Howard, Fukudome have some years on em.. not saying they're old but .. ya know

  3. He's got my respect cause every time he plays my team (the Cardinals) he kills them so i would say that he is a beast

  4. he gets respect in wisconsin and in st louis because he always destroys them. but nationally no. hes way better than prince but prince gets more attention because of him hitting 50 HRS.

    so no

  5. i think he gets that much respect

well at least i give him respect. maybe not as much as pujols but the guys only 24! imagine the numbers he'll put up during his career. he'll probably hit at least 40 homers and hit over 300 each year. id love to see him on the phillies. you brewers fans are lucky

edit- i think it came out wrong. it sounded like i said i dont yet respect him as much as pujols because hes 24. i dont respect him as much as pujols because pujols has preformed consistently longer. but i believe his skills will surpass pujols' skills easily

  6. lincecum has been great, he has been better than great. he leads NL in ERA and the MAJORS in K's. braun leads NOTHING. he gets the repect he deserves but maybe not the ATTENTION. it was expected for braun to do great after his rookie year but lincecum played average last year and phenominal this year. its not the fact that he plays for a low market team either. Peavy gets all the respect that he deserves and he plays for the padres. in other words he hasn't played over the top, plus this is only his second year and he plays with prince sabathia, fielder, and sheets among others that have established names

  7. It's him and Tim Lincecum not getting the respect that they have earned.

  8. He deserves a lot more respect than he gets

    BEST ANSWER ME!!!

  9. No, he doesn't get the respect he deserves especially in comparison against Howard or Pujols.  I really wish some writers would look into him as a possible NL MVP candidate.  The Brewers are good, but when he is in the lineup, they are extremely tough to beat!  He has been a leading catalyst for the Brew Crew's offense this year, and has aided the team greatly by voluntarily switching roles and playing the outfield.  I, personally, have always been impressed with him.  He isn't the biggest guy, like you said, but he can absolutely mash!  He needs to be talked up more for NL MVP honors this year, despite missing time and playing through injuries!
