Does SEZ means land grab ?

In SEZs the Govt. is acquiring land at cheapest rates from unorganised farmers and offering it to big business houses for a song with the intent to give employment to youth in these SEZs.What about the small scale industry?We are offering jobs in the place of enterprenureship.What about the small scale & cottege industry? What isthe difference between THE EAST INDIA COMPANY and the owners of SEZs? Idallyif a SEZ is to be formed at all, why not by HUDAs & PUDAs (GOVT ORGANISATIONS ) & to offer land to unemployed youths at cheaper rates.

What have you described about land acquisitions, it is a practical reality. In the name of private participation, public-private partnerships, a loot is going on. What is put on papers ideally, is blasted into bits and pieces practically.

The problem on the other side is government industrial estates are utter failure due to lack of infrastructure even after decades of their implementation and private allottees are themselves found trading on land allotted to them for quick bucks. It has become a vicious circle??????!!!!!!!! On the failure of one, other option is being tried for sucking.
