Question:

Does Sarah Palin know she's being used?

The fact that Palin has little to no national experience leads me to assume McCain only picked her to win - and therefore not thinking of the country first. Therefore, he's just using her. Are women realizing this? Will it work?

  1. Uh, I like being used.  Every time.

  2. That is an extremely offensive statement. How would you like it if I said Obama was being used? The sexism is starting already. Palin is a conservative who happens to be a woman. I would challenge the country first thing considering she has MORE experience than Obama, who happens to be number 1 on the ticket.

  3. Republicans use women....McCain does not vote for women's issues.  I voted for Hillary...Palin pales in comparison.  Hillary is smart and has so much more life experiences.  I don't see how they could.

McCain means more failed Republican policies and more wars.  Diplomacy is not his forte....maybe that is why he picked Miss Congeniality...lol

  4. Most women do seem to realize this. It has no chance of working. Noone wants 4 more years of Bush. Wait to see how the democratic convention went, then make a pick? Shows how weak, afraid, and confused they are. What else was Bush McCain supposed to do?, he has nothing to run on. To use this woman is just plain wrong.

  5. Obama has little national experience and NO executive experience. Who is using him? The 9/11 Truther crazies? Obama's SDS terrorist buddies?

  6. It's simply: step one, step two, oops don't skip step three, proceed to step four, all the way to the White House, if that's your goal. I think Mrs. Palin is not being used.  She's a natural and slow to fast has climbed the inevitable steps in her current position.  Let it be know that she is a good leader, communicator and maybe that's why her political career has suddenly blossomed. In no way is she being used. Now reverse that question for Oprah-Obama with regards to African American voters, like myself?

  7. she looks to dumb to know, but everybody else can see it as clear as day, FAKE politics

  8. She doesnt have to matter as Mccain will give her all the money she needs.

  9. She reminds me of a woman I know who runs around the room asking people if the piece of meat on her fork is cooked.

  10. of course she does. she's no dummy.... oh, wait...

  11. ummm..how many negotiations with Russia and Canada has Senator Obama had?  None!

You do know that any governor of Alaska has to routinely deal with those two governments over issues like trade, fishing rights, transportation, oil, security, etc?  Governor Palin has had to conduct such negotiations from day one and that already gives her more experience than Senator Obama, and he's the TOP of the ticket.

Senator McCain set a trap; you've bitten.

  12.   Well it's a good thing that you, as a man, are looking out for them isn't it.  But used how ?  No "national" experience ?  As people have been arguing since Palin was first announced, WHO are you comparing her against ?  Obama ?  She has MORE experience than Obama, because it includes CEO (running a State) and even MILITARY (she's the Commander in Chief of he National Guard, while Obama hasn't commanded a Crossing Guard ).  Biden has more time and more experience, but he's NOT running for POTUS anymore than Palin is.  Your implication she's being "used" and may not be aware of it, is extremely insulting to any woman who has succeeded.

  13. They know and they don't care. Palin knows she's being used (but it's still a good career move as far as she's concerned). The Republicans know that she's being used. And desperate women that want to sacrifice their political principals just to see a woman become VP know she is being used.

But they want so desperately to win. Thats the ONLY thing that matters to any of them.

But I have serious doubts that it will work. Even though you're sure to find those desperate people on this page saying they KNOW it will work. Republicans are pathetically stupid.

  14. You wish! Welcome aboard Hillary supporters!

  15. Like most women in the business world and political world..... she is a token.

A "see? I'm not a sexist" token. Not unlike the standard "see? I'm not a racist" token.

Of course she is being used. Nobody really thinks someone as green as her... is qualified for the job. But its going to backfire. McCain is sucking up to women who want males out of power and trying to lure them over. In so doing, he risks a defection of  male conservatives who want no part of his token "affirmative action/political correctness-like" choice of running mate.

  16. Are you kidding? Sarah Palin has been one of the underground favorites for months. I have signed up on the petition to make her the VP over 6 months ago. She might be a surprise to some, but she is highly not a surprise to Conservatives. IF they are using her, she will be the one coming out on top.

She gets stuff done, unlike our Congress, and even our Current President. If She learns McCain is corrupt, she will be the first to tell us.

I finally have a politician I trust. I am glad she is getting the opportunity to learn from McCain.

  17. Republican women are use to being used

  18. He picked her for her experience.  He didn't want his number two to be more qualified than himself.  She also appeals to the religious right, bible thumping right-to-lifers that are hung up on the NRA.

    Democrats offer welfare

    Republicans offer warfare

    Democrats offer higher taxes

    Republicans offer deficit spending

Libertarians offer none of the above
