This is a kosher caterer in New York run by Judy Marlowe. Her food is great and artfully presented. But wondering whether her hechksher is acceptable to the Modern Orthodox community.

  1. He would have to be an ordained rabbi or rabbi in training sometimes are used for this, like all Kosher catering operations it is required they meet the standard of the Kasharuth and the local rabbinical counsel.

They cannot advertise to be kosher without the certification, as for orthodox then you have to call them, I worked in hotels with kosher kitchens, we had 2, one for meat and the other dairy and pareve could be done in either, these are things to check with when arranaging a catered affair and are your guests orthodox also

  2. What hechscher does this caterer have? Once you know the hechsher you can know if it OK for Modern Orthodox Jews.
