  1. The large coasters and water rides will close for a given amount of time. The restaurants and shops will stay open and maybe the smaller rides or ones that arent metal. Just depends on the situation. My advice if it thunders stay in line epsecially if its a long one and wait it out bc theyll reopen after a short amount of time and you dont want to lose your spot

  2. i would hope so

  3. It started lightning when I was there and they didn't close the park, they just shut the rides down until it stopped.

  4. If it doesn't it should. Every year the 7th graders go to six flags at the end of the year (I went last year) and one year it started to rain and lightning so they had to come back early

  5. i know that all rides close until it is gone over.

  6. Most of the time the actual PARK will not close, but they will close down the rides. I have been at Six Flags New England when we got lightning storms and they have never closed the entire park, just the rides.

It can actually work in your favor if you have the patience to wait it out, cause most people will immediately leave, and when it stops, you've got the park to yourself!!

    No Lines!!

  7. lol......you are a trip!

  8. the park itself doesn't close, however they do shut the rides down, and if the weather is too severe they will guide you to a shelter within the park.

  9. of course

    all of those metal rides??

yeah no thank you to being hit by lighting on a coaster

  10. Yes, the rides are all metal, very very high and very very big lightning rods.

  11. no it doesnt acutally..cause its hard to get all the people out..bt it closes most of the rides, if not all of them, which kinda forces people to leave

  12. Most rides do close during a thunderstorm or imminent threat of a thunderstorm approaching. The entire park doesn't close, just the water rides and roller coasters.

  13. it usually depends how far away it is. and sometimes they will just shut down the rides until it passes but i dont know for sure.

  14. Yes they shut down all the rides once lightening starts or before.

Sometimes lightening occurs while people are on the ride, and they must stop the ride and leave the riders on until it stops.

    This has happened to me.

Just check your weather forcast before you go to Six Flags!

    Have fun =)

  15. i dont think so depends on the day

  16. every theme park closes when there's lightning present. something quite bad would happen if it struck the coasters.

  17. yup, they did when i was there!
