Does South Africa's military see much action on the countries borders?

  1. You'd have to be pretty desperate to want to invade South Africa.


  2. No not really. The region in terms of conflict is stable and no military action is needed. I am of the opinion that they have their hands full with illegal immigrants but other than that, no military fun or action.  

  3. The Blue Bull is right although there is a shortage of military officers in SA ever since they did away with compulsary enlistment.

    I was part of the Commando's until they were disbanded. The Commando's were part of the South African Defence Force but were part-time, voluntary military. Commando's were mostly used to patrol borders and assist the police with law enforcement. Now there is nothing, our borders are not patrolled so illegal immagrants are basically just walking into the country.

  4. There are no conflicts, just lots of illegals walking over the border.
