Does Squall Leonhart die in FF8?

I used to watch my brother play Final Fantasy 8 but i never thought about Squall dying till someone mentioned it to me the other day? and then someone said Rinoa killed him?? anyone?

No Squall doesn't die. If you look at the ending when Rinoa finds Squall lying in that dessert place, she smiles and hugs him before the scene ends even though you don't see Squall's face. Also, after the credits have passed, another scene will occur where Squall sees Rinoa on a balcony at Balamb Garden. He walks up to her and they kiss for the first time.

Then the screen fades and says....."The End"

My favourite ending out of the entire series :D

Its a little unclear, but if you watch the ending, it looks like he gets separated from the rest of the party in some pocket-world, but at the very end of the ending, it seems like he comes back.

No, Squall doesn't die.  Play the game through to the ending and when you see the credits roll watch for scenes that tie everything up.  Trust me, it is a Happy Ending.
