Question:

Does Starbucks hire at 16?

I picked up a job application at Starbucks, but the only age-related question on it is "are you over the age of 18." I heard that they hire at 16, but maybe not. As a 16-year-old myself, should I bother filling this out or is it 18+ only?

  1. nope ive tryed and im 15 they said 17 or older to me:/ which suckz but therez a h**l of alota different placez to work at 16!

  2. They may, it depends if you have a good resume, they may set their mindset on 17 and up, but if you have a good interview, or are good for the job, they should hire you at 16.

  3. This is an extract from their Career Centre FAQs:

What is the minimum age requirement to work at Starbucks?

You must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for employment at Starbucks. If you have questions about employment eligibility, please consult a store manager.

Perhaps it depends on the post you applied for. 16 for pure waiting staff sounds reasonable, but may be too young if you have to handle the cooking in the kitchen. Pls refer to the FAQs attached.
