  1. h**l all insurances will do that.. sadly enuff... I was in a car accident back in the 90's it wasn't my fault laws weren't like they are today, and my insurance dropped me after my case settled.. good luck

  2. I personally can't give you statistics,

But 7 years ago a girlfriend of mine got into accident in which she was at fault (made a left turn without looking causing another car to t-bone here). After State Farm paid out, they dropped her as customer.

  3. I can't say whether they do it more than other insurance companies...but it seems like it.   They dropped me after being a customer for ten years and my parents were customers for many more.   Now 13 years later, I wouldn't use State Farm if they were the last insurance company on the planet.

  4. All insurance companys have underwriting guidelines in reference to customers with claims.  Typically, insurance companys view the number of accidents at faults and not a faults.  Also, they review how long you have been with them, and the other lines of insurance you have with them.  Typically, they review accidents within the last three years.  Please note they review accidents regardless of fault.

  5. my husband had an at fault accident with them, and they did not drop him.

we've had them for our whole driving history and have never had a problem.

I've heard that esurance has the highest drop rates, but who knows.  these rumors get started because someone gets dropped and they tell everyone.

go to my3cents.com and look up some insurance companies (state farm, progressive, geico, esurance, etc).  that page has consumer reviews.  well its mostly complaints, but no one usually talks about the positives.  then you can form your own opinion.  last time i looked, state farm had the fewest reviews.

also, I read an article about a consumer survey, and State Farm was rated third favorite car insurance company in the nation.  here's the page for that http://www.farmersinsurancegroupsucks.co...

but, like i said, just read up on different companies and form your own opinion.
