Does Substitoad have to be on the field for frog monsters to not be destroyed by battle?

Because it says frog monster cannot be destroyed by battle.If it meant the monster special summoned by this effect cannot be destroyed by battle, wouldnt it say so on the card???

yes. its effect prevents the frog monsters from being destroyed in battle. if it were removed from the field of flipped face down, its effect would no longer protect the frogs

the frogs special summoned by its effect also cannot be destroyed in battle if substitoad is face-up on the field
