Does Surfers Paradise really suck?

I travelled from Cairns to Sydney and stopped in about 8 locations including Cairns, Hervey Bay, Rockie, Brisbane and Surfers. In Queensland, I was generally finding people nice and easygoing, open and commuicative.

When I reached Surfers Paradise, it was kind of a shock. People did not pay attention to anything but themselves, were arrogant and ignorant. No smile, no eyecontact, just having the look at their faces I have the opportuity to get known while staying in Sydney for last 4 years.

My friend has similar experience. What do you think? Did we both have a bad morning or there is something about it. Brisbane is just 1 hour away and people there were ok and firendly.

I dont know about you guyz but ive been there for a week & it was the best time ever caint wait to go again :)
