  1. The original T.G.I.F. meant "Thank God It's Friday"  without the "s". (meaning thank God for the end of the work week-for those who worked a Monday thru Friday job).  Later the restaurant adopted the phrase and incorporated it into their name and slogan.(Good Marketing: I think).

  2. That depends on who you ask. For me, it means "Thank goodness it's Friday!"

  3. As far as I know it does mean that. I first heard it off Nickolodeon, I think thats a short way of putting and to be truthful, everyone loves Friday's unless they have to work the next day

  4. yes, because friday is the last day of the work days and start of relaxation and rest.

  5. TGIF because it is the end of the 5 day work week.

  6. People go out Friday's night, the most crowded night is Friday's night and Saturday's night, (as Saturday is also -no work day-, so they can keep up till very early morning on Friday's night , more fun for people  , more revenue for the club),,,Sunday's night is not that busy, as they have to work Monday,,,,(outside Egypt, people respect work and do not keep out till late every night and then sleep on their desks at work !!!! I really do not know why the Tuesday's day night is the most crowded out in night clubs in Egypt???)

Any way , it is like Thursday's night in Egypt when most people go out , as  can be up till late, because Friday's morning they do not work and can sleep till  noon

  7. well you think your going to die from exhaustion and your eyes are going to pop out. you worked so hard for cash at your job wasted your life for hours. then you realise that friday nights the best because.
