  1. it takes longer in alcohol ive never tried it in alcohol i just used it in butter when i made brownies

  2. thc is a fat molecule so its dissolves better in butter, its best to take a block of commodity butter and then the thc and let them churn or sit together for like a month. Then cook with it

  3. well it just depends how long the THC is exposed to the substance whether it be alcohol or fat. It is possible to dissolve both to nearly 100%, but it is just about how quick you want to do it

The alcohol will disolve THC more quickly when heated. The fat can a bit a longer. However when you consume either, the fat will take much longer to digest and feel the effects. Here are the two ways.

If you are looking to make Green Dragon (weed alcohol) or maybe an edible, either will get the job done.

In addition, the chemicals responsible for the bitter and "grassy" taste of cannabis buds are insoluble in alcohol, but more soluble in water. (Chlorophyll is soluble in alcohol, which is why it is best to use already extracted trichome heads separated from the plant material. This will result in a yellow colored drink rather than green.) The best results are obtained by using an extremely concentrated alcohol, if available, a near-pure grain alcohol such as 190-proof Everclear should be used.

There are two methods for extracting the cannabinoids from the buds WHEN USING ALCOHOL. The first involves heating the alcohol to improve its power as a solvent. The cannabis buds are stewed in about 250ml of spirit, preferably heated in a water bath to reduce the likelihood of ignition of the alcohol vapours. The temperature of the spirit should be maintained below the boiling point of ethanol (78.4º C)(173ºF) to prevent the buildup of fumes. The majority of the soluble cannabinoids will be extracted by this method after about 20 minutes of heating.

The second method, which is best described as "low-tech," involves leaving cannabis buds, leaves, and stems in the alcohol for several weeks or months. Over time the cannabinoids will leach from the plant matter in much the same way as in the heating method. It is common to simply open a new bottle of spirit, poke several cannabis buds into the bottle (it may be necessary to pour off or drink some of the spirit first) and reseal. The bottle must be kept tightly sealed to prevent the alcohol evaporating from the bottle. The bottle must be kept in a dark place because tetrahydrocannabinol decomposes under the influence of light.

With the fat: If using butter, heat it over a stove untill it is all melted and stir in the buds for about 20-25 min.  I grind the weed in a grinder, and then melt it in a half cup of unsalted butter/margarine. I let it simmer for a little while (20-25 min). I let it cool, and then put the whole thing into the refrigerator for about a day. I then heat it up again, and add the whole thing to my brownie recipe.

So either way can dissolve the THC to nearly 100% but just depends how you want it, and what proccess you want to do.

    Hope this helps
