Does TV promote violence?

Not just TV but many other communication systems including the Internet. We must remember that TV is just a media way, the ones that actually promote the violence are mankind.

As long as violence and s*x sells, you will always see it promoting them in all the media.

.I  don't think it promotes it as much as it desensitizes us to it.  When we see it all the time on tv, it doesn't seem real anymore, we become immune to it's affects on the 'real world'.

Its a proven fact that it does. You can recall from news that people react what they have seen on television to harm other people.
