  1. It shouldn't.  Tapioca is a starch and is actually used as a thickener for other foods, just like gelatin is.  So, there'd be no reason to add gelatin to it.  But... they add a lot of weird c**p to food that doesn't belong there, so read the label.

  2. Tapioca is a plant and I seriouslyt doubt a plant will grow an animal extract..

PS gelatin cannot be obtained from hooves.. bones yes, hooves, teeth and other insoluble parts of the animal, no. Thats propaganda info.

  3. NO. Tapioca is plant based. There are plant based Gelatines however, such as Kantan or Agar Agar.

The gelatinous  plants are either flax, or sea vegetables such as Xanthan Gum, Irish Moss or AgarAgar. Hope that helps.

  4. Not real tapioca. The tapioca is a root, but to make it a pudding there's cream so it's not vegan friendly.

  5. I'm pretty sure there is no gelatin in it, but if you are buying it from the store you might want to check the label.

    I usually make mine homemade...delicious!

    :D

  6. No it does not.  It is made from tapioca pearls.  Gelatin is made from animal hoofs and other animal products.
