Listening to Terrys press conferences yesterday only confirms that Richmond is the most gullible club in the AFL, he is the king of spin (sorry Warney) and the tiges fall hook, line and sinker everytime!! he has done poor job and should get the boot but he spreads the BS so thick that he paints a rosy picture, his winning % is 38 at Richmond, he talks about Graphs and KPI's and where we are at, give me a break Plough, you can't coach, you've had enough time with this group Richmond should terminate your contract at the end of this season, there are enough young guns out there who would step into a senior job without any problems....c'mom Tiges show some baaaaaaaaalls!!!

  1. I think his ultimatum was fair enough - If the Tigers don't make finals in 2009, he doesn't coach. He has re-built the team and deserves to be there for the product of his work. If they don't make finals though, he deserves the boot, because there is really nothing else he can do with the group, they may need change.

  2. I think it was last year when he had this grand plan about how richmond would win a premiership in the next 8 years or something. I didn't buy that c**p. Richmond are not a good side and they will never be a good side. Wallace is not a good coach and should be let go.

But then again, no matter who they get, richmond will suck cos its a club for losers, has beens, and never will bes.

  3. Yes. At least he is coaching a Victorian team, and a Melbourne based club at that.

It is the coaches in charge of teams outside of Victoria that I have no time for and they all lack crdibility.

  4. Terry Wallace's five year contract runs out at the end of next year. That's if they allow him to finish his contract.

He is starting to remind me of Mick Malthouse. Long contracts, lots of promises, but nothing to show for all the effort.

I think both Richmond & Collingwood should invest in younger, more up to date umpires, just like the Bombers, Hawks, Cats have done.

  5. He and Gary Ayres have something in common; they both took over clubs (Bulldogs and Geelong) that were doing well at the time and weren't when they left.  They are exceptions to the rule that the best statistical indicator of being a successful coach is having played in premiership-winning teams).  That's why Richmond were stupid to appoint Danny Frawley; he didn't know what success looked like.

Wallace learned early how to work the media so he's had a surprising lack of scrutiny for his performance at Richmond.

The next coaches to be promoted should be either Guy McKenna, David King or Damien Hardwick.
