Question:

Does Tetra Reptomin Baby turtle pellet food have too much protein for a baby Red Eared Slider? Pyramiding?

I heard that tetra Reptomin baby was one of the best foods to give baby red eared sliders, so I bought a can. I've been feeding my turtle around 4 to 6 pellets a day (what he eats in 3 minutes) and I noticed that his shell is kind of lifting in the middle. I searched online and I found out about pyramiding, that happens when you don't feed your turtles enough vegetables... oops! I didn't even know you had to feed them vegetables. I'm trying to make my turtle warm up to them now, but I'm worried if he's pyramiding or not?

His shell doesn't have like individual scutes raising up, only those in the middle of his shell. Here's some pictures I took with my phone... not the best quality, but it's all I've got. :<

Do you think my turtle may have pyramiding? Is it because of the reptomin?

Variety is important in the diet.  I use several brands of pellets, plus vegies and other foods.
