  1. There are no free tickets for emergencies except when approved by higher management.

  2. No, there are no free tickets for emergencies.  Many airlines offer discounts for documented medical emergencies/funerals, but the price is often higher than you can find on line.  As for consulates, they may provide funds for emergency flights out of the country, but the recipient is generally responsible for re-paying the money.

  3. Some airlines may offer a discounted ticket for genuine emergencies, eg: funerals, medical reasons, etc. Ultimately it is your responsibility to always have a return ticket or funds for your personal emergencies. If Consulates do provide any financial assistance it will most certainly be a loan to be repaid by you.

  4. i can tell you my experience, im a Mexican citizen and i visited Havana last summer, my flight from Mexico city to havana was schedule to leave on a thursday turns out we (my friends and I) missed the flight (aeromexico) we ofcourse did not have a hotel and we were extremely low on cash  and to make matters worst Aeromexico only flies to Cuba twice a week so the next flight dosent leave untill tuesday! we contacted the Mexican embassy and they provided us with a hotel and breakfast. (for free!) SO no free flight but free housing.

  5. no, not free, some prices are very high on emergencies,and the airlines may reimburse part of it, with proof, very rare tough,

    in a very particular emergencies, the Embassy may help a citizen, but yes, you will pay for the help given,

    if it was so? too many abuses would arise;

    and many people would travel free? not a very good idea either.............
